About the Youth Firesetting Program
The Fire Prevention Bureau administers a Youth Firesetting Program, staffed by two youth firesetting intervention specialists, as described in the department's 2025 Community Risk Assessment and Standards of Cover.
The program aims to identify problematic behavior displayed by juveniles and address it before a loss of life or property occurs. Referrals and questions go through the Fire Prevention Bureau.
