File of Life
Free for ResidentsA free magnetic pouch for your refrigerator holding your medical and personal information, so first responders have what they need in an emergency.
About the File of Life
In partnership with Henry Ford Health System, the Chesterfield Township Fire Department is proud to offer residents the File of Life completely free of charge.
The File of Life is a small, index-card sized magnetic pouch with an accompanying fold-out information card. The card has room to fill out all pertinent medical and personal information, and sits on your refrigerator door.
In an emergency, Chesterfield's first responders can use that information to provide better and safer care when nobody is present or able to answer questions.
How to Get One
- Stop by fire department headquarters at 33991 23 Mile Road
- Or ask any Chesterfield fire crew you meet
- Fill out the card with your medical and personal information
- Keep the pouch on your refrigerator door where responders will look
